Job Description

This role is responsible for a variety of inventory and warehouse duties intended to serve our customers well and ensure accuracy of inventory.  This is best accomplished through following best practices in inventory management and control, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.

This is a working manager role, and the individual hired will be active and involved in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.  Daily tasks will include pump building, painting, fulfillment of production orders, etc.  Working alongside the warehouse staff will give this individual the best opportunity to understand processes and implement needed changes and improvements.

This position will oversee the productivity, accuracy, and overall function of the warehouse team and will set ongoing stretch goals to ensure continual improvement.

The ideal candidate has extensive inventory experience and a passion for accuracy and efficiency.  The ability to train and hold others accountable is key to the success of this role.

 Primary Responsibilities Include:

  •  Ensure accurate inventory levels throughout the logistics lifecycle of shipping, receiving, and cycle counting
  • Responsible for the overall effective operation of the warehouse functions
  • Work closely and continuously with warehouse staff to observe and provide direction for improvement efforts—this will include building pumps, painting, completing production orders, etc.
  • Communicate and oversee expectations to warehouse specialist team, including coaching to better performance
  • Manage process consistency to promote consistent, predictable results
  • Coordinate with other departments, communicating realistic timeframe for shipments
  • Provide excellent customer experience through managing consistent, predictable results by following and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)


  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience overseeing inventory control and warehouse operations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop others
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in inventory management practices, as well as shipping, receiving, and other warehouse operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar, preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other basic computer functions
  • Familiarity with HVAC and hydronic and plumbing products helpful
  • Strong familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Epicor Prophet 21 (P21)
  • Physically capable of occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.

Hours:  M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
