Job description

This entry-level role will focus on training and developing the necessary skills to prepare the candidate for a sales role, typically within 1-2 years. The training process will include spending time in each of the following roles: Warehouse, Project Coordinator, Estimator (Job Costing), etc. Following this training period, the Sales Trainee will work closely with an assigned company sales rep to continue learning the company products, customers, and processes. Sales and/or HVAC industry experience is helpful, but not required.

 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Proactively and systematically learn company products and offered services through on-the-job training
  • Perform administrative duties to aid in the sales process and learn the role
  • Make regularly scheduled visits to customers and learn their needs and recommend solutions
  • Provide account management for existing clientele, become a trusted resource for them
  • Learn to introduce products and services through presentations, client lunches, etc.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of direct selling experience helpful
  • Effective communication with both internal and external contacts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting, strategy development, execution, and tracking
  • Knowledge of HVAC and hydronic and plumbing systems and applications helpful
  • Physically capable of occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
