One of our partners and friends in the state of Texas recently announced an important change, here is their official statement:

“One of the world’s leading innovators in plastic piping systems and products returns to its roots today. German plastic pipe manufacturer Poloplast is now Polymelt. This move represents a return to the company’s early days. Polymelt was founded in Germany in 1967. Polymelt transitioned to Poloplast in 2000 following a series of company mergers. ‘This rebrand goes far beyond a simple name change,’ said Polymelt America COO Diego Grüebler. ‘We look forward to providing additional details in the coming days,’ Mr. Grüebler said.”

What we have discussed about polypropylene (PPR) pipes and systems is the innovative and durable quality. There are a number of advantages to PPR piping over steel. Where steel prices have skyrocketed in recent times, the price of PPR piping has remained constant. It is also lighter – weighing sometimes 80 percent less than comparable metal piping – reducing safety risks on the jobsite and the amount of labor needed for moving pipe.

PPR piping lasts longer than steel or copper and is very corrosion resistant. No metal corrosion in the system allows for cleaner water and less maintenance in a hydronic system. Polymelt is so sure of their products that they offer a standard 10-year warranty on all of their products.

We look forward to many more years of partnership with Polymelt and are happy to represent them in the state of Texas.
