Oslin Nation has a great opportunity to be an integral member of the Oslin Nation estimating team! Reporting directly to the Branch Manager and working in a team environment, the successful candidate will learn the many products we represent and how to apply them to applications. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Job Coster (Estimator) responsible for handling multiple projects of varying size and complexity. Self-motivated individuals with a great attitude and eagerness to learn and grow are critical for success.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science (or equivalent experience) is highly preferred. Familiarity with HVAC and/or Plumbing systems, as well as being mechanically inclined, well-organized, and able to work well in a team setting is critical to success in this role. Candidates should be able to perform efficiently on their own with minimal supervision.

Duties

• Reviewing plans and specifications: Review building plans and specification & determine what HVAC and plumbing scope is present
• Takeoff products: Perform a takeoff on any HVAC or plumbing scope which is present
• Composing quotations: Compose a quotation using available pricing sheets and our in-house pricing tools
• Communication: Communicating any discrepancies and contradictions in the plans and specifications with our in-house engineering staff and with our sales team
• Quality assurance: Review other estimators’ quotes to ensure accuracy for our customers
• Maintain required project documentation
• Interface with the sales and application engineering personnel
